Privacy Policy

1. What this covers

This policy explains what information StreamCloud collects, why, and how it is used, stored, and protected — including data accessed through Google Drive and YouTube.

2. Information you provide

Your name, email address, and time zone when you create an account, and any support messages you send us.

3. Google user data (Drive and YouTube)

StreamCloud uses Google’s OAuth sign-in to connect your Google Drive and YouTube channel. We request only the narrow permissions each feature needs:

  • Google Drive (drive.file scope): this scope only ever gives StreamCloud access to files you explicitly open or create through Google’s own file picker inside the app. StreamCloud cannot see, list, or access any other file in your Drive.
  • YouTube: access to the channel(s) you connect, used only to create and manage the live broadcasts you schedule, and to check that live streaming is enabled on the channel.

This Google user data is used solely to provide the streaming feature you requested: retrieving the specific video file you picked, and creating and ending the YouTube broadcast for the stream you scheduled. We do not use Google user data for advertising, and we do not transfer it to third parties except the infrastructure providers strictly necessary to run your stream (see §5) and as required by law.

StreamCloud’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

4. Streaming and usage data

We record the streams you schedule and run — title, schedule, status, how long a stream actually ran, and whether it finished cleanly or failed — so you can see your own stream history and so we can operate the Service. Video and audio data flows from your Google Drive to YouTube through a temporary cloud server created for that one stream; it is not stored by StreamCloud beyond what a stream needs to run, and the server is shut down once the stream ends.

5. Who we share information with

Cloud infrastructure providers (to run the temporary streaming servers), Google (Drive and YouTube, as part of the feature you use), and Supabase (our database and authentication provider). We do not sell your information.

6. Data retention and deletion

We keep your account and stream history for as long as your account is active. Deleting your account removes your profile and disconnects Google Drive and YouTube; contact support if you want your stream history removed as well.

7. Security

Access tokens for Google Drive and YouTube are stored encrypted and are never readable by anyone browsing the app, including administrators. Row-level security limits every account to its own data.

8. Your choices

You can disconnect Google Drive or YouTube at any time from the Connections page, which revokes StreamCloud’s access. You can also revoke access directly from your Google Account permissions page.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date.

10. Contact

Questions about this policy can be sent to the support contact shown in your account.
